I received an email recently that questioned why our military people retire on approximately half of their pay after giving their country 20 years of their lives, often under dangerous conditions, while our people in Congress retire with full pay after only 6 years in Congress. It is clear that many people in Congress have little respect for the military and so this is not an inconsistency for them.
